2025–present

I build AI agents and web applications, set up platforms with clear data and access rules, and run workshops around real work. Recent projects include searching scanned manuals and helping teams choose which AI ideas are worth trying. I also test local models on my own hardware.

• A foundation for apps and AI agents
• Updating a municipal service platform
• Finding answers in scanned manuals
• A 3D configurator, and one persistent bug
• From AI ideas to useful next steps

2018–2024

Simulator work opened the door to interactive 3D, cloud streaming and web development. I built tools for training, product demonstrations and navigation, then explored ways to turn camera footage and older image data into 3D models people could inspect in a browser.

• Technical designer
• Senior software engineer
• 3D/XR developer
• Team lead

• A 3D inspection from 360° video
• A new view of an older 3D dataset
• Assemble a wind turbine in mixed reality
• Navigation cues in an AR headset
• A portal for maritime 3D tools
• A clearer view of rented equipment
• An oil rig model in the browser

2017–2018

A business partner and I started a company to replace manual attendance registration with a card tap. We built three touchscreen stations, the server and reporting tools. I learned Java along the way; the first systems were delivered in about six weeks.

• Full-stack developer
• UX designer

• A card tap instead of roll call

2014–2019

Teaching operators and maintenance crews led to building better training equipment: portable simulators, custom controls and a working classroom crane. I learned CAD, electronics, fabrication and embedded programming by making the tools the courses needed.

• Course instructor
• Senior instructor
• Product developer

• A simulator in two suitcases
• A real crane, sized for a classroom
• Real controls for a portable simulator

2007–2014

At shipyards in South Korea, I started and tested cranes, adjusted PLC software and troubleshot sensors and hydraulics. Later I led commissioning with a colleague on the opposite rotation. Our team commissioned about 100 cranes.

• Field technician
• Service engineer
• Commissioning lead

• A second life for an old lifeboat
• Commissioning offshore cranes in South Korea

2002–2007

I started as an apprentice and earned my electrical trade certificate. Industrial wiring, networks, fire and gas systems, and later offshore equipment taught me to trace a fault and understand the system around it.
